Something we believe in is that every dog is different, and similarly, every dog owner is different too! Some people have a lot of time that they can invest in their dog’s training, and conversely there are plenty of busy owners that do not have a lot of spare time. We can help you out in either case!
The training consultation will be the best way to learn all about the best program for your needs and availability. If you are busy, then we will typically recommend our Board & Train program- as it is a great way for us to work more on your pup, so you have a more polished dog when you pick them up.
Do note, all dog training requires work on your end too- it is vital that you are as active as possible during training, no matter the program. We can teach your dog nearly everything it needs, but it is up to you to instill the training into good behaviors that last for life.
Having a puppy can be overwhelming, but have no fear as we can provide puppy training as young as 10 weeks to help you get the foundational obedience skills to start them off on the right paw!
While we can start them young, we also ease them into training- as puppies can also get overwhelmed, which we want to avoid to build a strong foundation. We start our puppy training with one-on-one lessons with our trainers and teach you the basic commands to get them on the path to being a well behaved dog. These programs then develop into full day courses which gets into other skills like leash walking and the other essential commands.
Our programs will typically follow a curriculum that we have established for teaching obedience, however we also can tailor them to match your particular goals or needs. For example, while we do not specifically offer therapy dog training, we can align your program to teach your dog’s skills needed to pass the certification.
Going beyond obedience, we work with dogs with aggressive behaviors towards humans or other dogs, we can help with leash pulling and off leash control, we have worked with resolving anxiety too, or if you just need a really well mannered companion- we can do it all!
There are some that equate our training program to doggy boot camp, which describes it pretty well, but we would consider it a more fun experience than that!
Our best comparison for our dog training is that it is like doggy school or university, as we foster good behavior with positive reinforcement and reward hard work in our class. As a pet lover, Adam Volz has over 15 years of experience in a family business doing pet fence installation and training. He is also a professional horse trainer and has successfully trained many sensitive, intuitive, and challenging animals. His entire family has a great love of animals.
Adam’s wife, Tess and their two children, Nathaniel and Jessa, together with their dogs Half Pint and Skye (Toy Australian Shepherds), Lemon (Golden Retriever), and Journey (Black Lab), along with some cattle dogs for their ranch and several horses make up their immediate family. He is a pro at working with animals, focusing on being in tune with your dog’s individual personalities, and training even the most timid or assertive.

I’ve always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. They’ve been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. My real journey into dog training began when I had to work with my own reactive dog-an experience that challenged me, taught me so much, and sparked a serious passion for training.
Today, I live with four wonderful dogs: a Doberman and three Chihuahuas who are truly like my children. They keep life fun and full of love! When I’m not working with dogs, you’ll find me reading, hiking, or painting-anything that lets me be creative and enjoy the little things.
