Whether you have a young puppy or a well aged doggo, we have the right program for you!
For starting your puppy off right we offer up a Jumpstart Puppy Program, which is a multi-part training program that gets you & your puppy acquainted with training and on the road to an obedient dog.
Whether your pup is young or not so young, we also offer Day Training as well as Board and Train options! If you are wanting to be more active in your dogs training then maybe consider a Day Training course. If you would rather have a more polished dog by the end, or need to plan around a vacation, then the Board and Train may be more your style.
Every dog and owner is different so we take pride in tailoring your training program to fit your needs!

We find that a good foundational training is essential to having a dog that listens and obeys, all while still getting to live a happy, safe life- which is something we all strive for!
Our obedience training sessions start with our trainers getting to know and learn your pups quirks, that way they can shape the rest of the program to set your pup up for success. There is a set of basic commands that we use as the foundation for each dog, however we can always add to the list if there are specific commands that you would like seen integrated into the training.
In addition to teaching your pup, we always give the owners go-home lessons so you will always be shown the ropes to make sure you have the confidence to apply the training at home or abroad.

As a pet lover, Adam Volz has over 15 years of experience in a family business doing pet fence installation and training. He is also a professional horse trainer and has successfully trained many sensitive, intuitive, and challenging animals. His entire family has a great love of animals.
Adam’s wife, Tess and their two children, Nathaniel and Jessa, together with their dogs Half Pint and Skye (Toy Australian Shepherds), Lemon (Golden Retriever), and Journey (Black Lab), along with some cattle dogs for their ranch and several horses make up their immediate family. He is a pro at working with animals, focusing on being in tune with your dog’s individual personalities, and training even the most timid or assertive.

I was surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes growing up on my grandparent’s farm. From the playful puppies to the wise old horses, they became my constant companions. It was there that I discovered my passion for training and understanding our furry friends.
Now, as an Assistant Trainer at Sit Means Sit, I have the opportunity to share this passion with others. I believe that every dog has the potential to become a well-behaved and happy member of their family. With patience, consistency, and structure, we can unlock that and build a strong bond between pet and owner.
Whether it’s teaching basic commands or addressing behavioral issues, I am committed to helping you and your beloved companion. Together, we will embark on a journey of learning and growth, paving the way towards creating a well-mannered and joyful four-legged family member.
Zeus, my furry companion, entered my life in 2021. Since then, every day has been an exciting journey filled with boundless energy and endless love. Through SMS training, we are transforming into a dynamic duo, conquering walks with grace and charm. Zeus’s exuberance knows no bounds as he fearlessly approaches new friends, his wagging tail, a testament to his friendly nature. Together, we relish the joy of spending time with our expanding family, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
With Sit Means Sit by your side, success is within reach, and I can’t wait to help your family next!

I’ve always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. They’ve been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. My real journey into dog training began when I had to work with my own reactive dog-an experience that challenged me, taught me so much, and sparked a serious passion for training.
Today, I live with four wonderful dogs: a Doberman and three Chihuahuas who are truly like my children. They keep life fun and full of love! When I’m not working with dogs, you’ll find me reading, hiking, or painting-anything that lets me be creative and enjoy the little things.
Now, as an assistant dog trainer, I’m dedicated to helping others build strong, positive relationships with their dogs. I’m excited to work with you and your pup, helping them reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your training journey!
While all of our dog training programs are great, we would say that the Board and Train program is the most popular package we have on offer.
Clients really go for this option especially if you have a vacation coming up that you know about, by doing a Board and Train during it you will not only have a great vacation but you will have peace of mind that your pup is in good hands and will be well behaved when you get back!
Even if you are not going on vacation, this is a great program as it gives our trainers the most time to work with your pup, allowing for some outstanding results.
The Board & Trains are typically ran Monday to Friday, where you drop your pup off on Monday morning and then pick them up plus receive a lesson on Friday evening.

Every client that wants to use our dog training services must first come in for a free dog training consultation! The consultation is where we will learn about your training goals whether they are teaching your pup new skills, basic manners, or dealing with aggression or other behavioral issues.
We think it is very important for you to also meet us and better understand our program, that way you can decide about the future of your precious furry friend with confidence.

We were amazed, week after week, how much our pups were learning and how well behaved they are. Just five minutes into their first training and they were catching on to commands. We are thankful to Adam and his team for their hard work with our dogs and for teaching our family. 10/10 recommend!
